Worldwide, February 14, celebrate one of the youngest holidays, which appeared in 2012 - the Day of the gift book. The festival is called upon to unite all those who donate books and instill a love of reading.

Within the walls of the Karaganda Regional Junior Library named after Zh. Bekturov for the World Book donation day, an old bookcase with an attractive title was put up in the lobby: "Retro bookstore gives books", which became the central place of the "Кітап – асыл досымыз" . Participants of the event were students of the Karaganda Engineering College, students of the regional specialized boarding school for gifted children in the name of Aliya Moldagulova and pupils of the children's home "Құлыншақ".

For the children, a review was held-a conversation about the significance and role of books in the life of each person.

At the end of the event, the guests gladly took home the books they liked from the shelves of the Retro Bookstore.
