On February 21, a music evening was held in the reading room of the Children's Services Department of our library under the title "Әсем әнім - Астанам". The event was attended by pupils of 7 "a" classes of secondary schools № 81, № 4.

The event was held against the background of songs about Astana, created by composers and poets of Kazakhstan in different years. Zarubekova Zharkynay Musilimovna, the head of the childcare service department, told about the history of development of the capital of our state of Astana over the past 20 years, she also noted that the status of the capital was given to the city in 1998, and now Astana has become a prosperous, diversified and very beautiful metropolis . Poems about Astana at the event were read by Rysbai Danagul, Yakiya Bayan, Zhumash Aknur. A quiz was also conducted on the knowledge of the architectural structures of Astana. The students first of all named the monument "Астана-Бәйтерек". Then they were told the legend of the Tree of Life - a poplar-giant Buteker, with roots holding the earth, but with the crown supporting the sky. In the performance of Kanat Darina there was a poem about Bjtirek - the heart of modern Astana.

The schoolchildren were told about the former names of the city of Astana, a slide was shown on the theme: "Cities that were the capitals of Kazakhstan", the video "Айналдым елім" is presented.

At the end of the evening the children listened to the review of the exhibition "Айбынды және балғын Астана".
