On February 27 an on-line meeting took place between the young readers of the Karaganda Regional Junior Library named after. Zh. Bekturov (Karaganda) and the West Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth. H. Esenzhanova (Uralsk town). The meeting was dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer and laureate of the State Prize of Kazakhstan Khamzy Yesenzhanov. Dialogue on-line turned out interesting and rich. In real time, young people from two regions have brought a historic bridge between the two cities. The history of two writers united the audience: Hamzy Yessenzhanov and Zhayik Bekturov. Their destinies in many respects echo. Born at the beginning of the century, they passed with honor through all the vicissitudes of a difficult time, full of revolutions, repressions, wars. Both writers were able to become real chroniclers of their era.
During the evening, the audience got acquainted with the biographies of Hamza Yessenzhanov and Zhaik Bekturov, listened to excerpts and discussed works by writers. Members of the youth intellectual center "BOTA" performed poems: Gakku Zhumabekova read the poem "Аспанда анау ай болсам", Ergali Manap - "Сергелдең", "Махамбетім, Сәкенім". And the winner of expressive reading competitions Nariman Ahmet specially for the guests of the evening performed the work of Magzhan Zhumabayev "Мен қазақпын".
Popularization of works by Kazakhstani authors among young people, education of patriotism, inculcation of interest in reading books about the history of their country and the region, strengthening of creative ties between the two regions-such were the goals of the online dialogue held between the readers of the two libraries. And these goals were largely achieved. Young men and girls emotionally read poems, talked about interesting facts from the biography of writers, talked with excitement about that difficult time ... Such events give a powerful impetus for further self-improvement and development.
