On April 24, a youth student festival "Біз өз еліміздің патриоттарымыз" "We are the patriots of Kazakhstan!" Dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the city of Astana was held in the colorfully decorated hall within the Week of the Youth Book "Horizons of Knowledge".

Participants: about 90 people - artists of the concert association named after K. Bayzhanov, students of the KarSU academician E. Buketov, KarSTU, Karaganda Economic University KazPotrebsoyuz, Karaganda Polytechnic College, Karaganda Law College "Themis", Karaganda Vocational and Technical College, members of the BOTA Youth Intellectual Center, teachers, readers and librarians.

The purpose of this festival was to educate young people about the sense of Kazakhstani patriotism, the formation of citizenship, tolerance, the culture of interethnic relations, the skills of self-development and self-realization, the disclosure of creativity, the promotion of active creative leisure and support for the participation of young people in all spheres of activity.

On the plasma screen the videos "Friendship of the Peoples of Kazakhstan" and about Astana were demonstrated.

The welcoming speech was made by the head of the regional junior library named after Zh. Bekturov N.K. Kalenova.

The festival was opened by the artists of the Concert Association named after K.Baizhanov. They performed variety songs, a musical composition on the saxophone.

Then the students from different educational institutions of the city - 21 people, took an active part in the festive program of the festival.

In the performance of the youth, not only patriotic songs about Kazakhstan, friendship, the capital of Astana and our city of Karaganda sounded, but also popular modern popular songs. Author's poems dedicated to Astana were performed.

No one was left indifferent by the songs performed by the students: the E.A.Buketov University of Karaganda - T. Aryulym Turysbek "The Cuckoo" and "Ана туралы баллады"; KEU - Diaz Bugen and Islam State "Astana"; Higher Polytechnical College - Bolatova Zhanbek "My Kazakhstan".

Three different songs "Tan zher" were performed by the students of KarSTU Kerimkulova Altynay, Moldakash Shynyys and the higher polytechnic college Tiishtygulov Daulen.

At the dombra, students of the higher polytechnic college Otynishev Diaz and Abdykadyrov Nooruzbek demonstrated their skills, playing and singing Kasym Amanzholov's song "Өзем туралы" Alkenov Temirlan on dombra.

The poems "Kazakhstan", "Mengazapin", "Friendship of the Peoples of Kazakhstan", "Capital Astana" and others were read by students of the Higher Polytechnic College and members of the BOTA YIC Haydarov Zhaydar, Bilisov Samat, Zyryanov Mikhail, Alisheva Aruzhan and Omirserik Azhar.

The author of the poem about Astana was the student of the Karaganda legal college "Themis" Saparova Madina, and the youngest participant of the festival was a student of the 2nd form of gymnasium №3 Sabitova Diana read the poem "Astana".

Two modern original hip-hop dances were performed under stormy applause by the group "De-ja-vu" - students of the Karaganda Vocational College: Tamabekov Aibol, Zakirov Alinur, Zhanbotauly Abilkayyr and Kayyrzhankyzy Ayaulym.

The mood of all present in the hall was magnificent, but the main thing was the spirit of patriotism, friendship, cohesion and support among participants, guests and the audience.

Our capital has become a real flagship of a new, independent, forward-looking democratic Kazakhstan.

At the end of the event, the organizers presented letters of thanks to all activists who took part in the youth festival and Week of the Youth Book "Horizons of Knowledge", artists of the Concert Association. K. Baizhanova and the sponsor - Karaganda Regional Kazakh Drama Theater named after S.Seifullin for the tickets for the performances.

Before and after the event, excursions to the library, photo session, acquaintance with the book-illustrative exhibition to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan "Қазақстан – достықтың киелі бесігі" were organized for the guests.
