On May 14, a presentation of the collection "Қазақстандағы Желтоқсан (1986 ) көтерілісінің тарихи жэне халықаралық маңызы" - "The historical and international significance of the December (1986) insurrection in Kazakhstan" took place in the library.

This folio is the materials that took place on October 25, 2016 in Astana on the eve of the 25th anniversary of independence and the 30th anniversary of the uprising, an international scientific and practical conference organized by the Association of Historians of Kazakhstan, the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Ualikhanov and the Republican Public Fund "Қаһармандар".

The collection contains reports of public figures, scientists, researchers, writers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, memories of participants.

The resolution adopted on the results of the conference indicates that the published collection should be distributed to the country's libraries, academic and scientific institutions. Official presentations have already been held in the libraries of Astana.

In Karaganda, the organizer and moderator was Желтоқсан қаһарманы Aubpe Bazarbaizyzy Balgimbayova.

At the presentation of the book in the regional junior library named after Zh. Bekturov "Тәуелсіздік таңы - желтоқсан", the following Yeltsoks were invited: Askar Sagynaev, Kurmangazi Aitmyrza (member of the editorial board of the collection), Ahmetkalali Khalenov, Abdukayim Berdesh, Arapbek Kharabekuly, Shirinov Abdimanap, Zarylkasyn Nuralyuly Yelenizov. The participants shared their memories, told about how the December events took place in Almaty, Karaganda and other cities of the country.

Prior to the meeting, senior researcher, candidate of law, associate professor of the Karaganda economic university of the Kazpotrebsoyuz Bolat Syzdyk, teacher of history and social and political disciplines of the Karaganda Academy "Bolashak" Aliya Ukiphanovna Aupenova addressed the audience. The reports "Қазақ Республикалары және желтоқсан көтерілісі" B.Syzdykaand "Zheltosan - watershed of the newest history of Kazakhstan" A.Aukenova were included in the conference materials.

Published materials of the international scientific-practical conference have great educational significance for youth. The uprising was the forerunner of Kazakhstan's sovereignty and independence.

Students of the medical university expressed gratitude to the participants of the December events, admiration for the courage and heroism of the heroes of the Zheltoksan.
