TELEVISION INTELLECTUAL GAMES "ECHO"
In 2010 our library together with the Karaganda regional branch JSC Kazakhstan - "Kazakhstan - Karagandy" started the project of the television intellectual game "Echo". The purpose of this project - formation at the younger generation of feeling of the Kazakhstan patriotism, civic consciousness, tolerance; familiarizing with reading literature on history, literature, culture; education of respect for traditions and customs of the Kazakh people; promotion of active creative leisure.
Traditionally, the jury is headed by the director of library G. A. Bekbalakova. On each game two videos on subject of the program in which the variety of literature, the periodical press and editions on the electronic media which are available in funds of library reveals are created.
Within "School of young intellectuals" - meetings with children, rehearsals to intellectual games are held. Traditionally participants of games receive certificates, to winners prizes are awarded.
In 2013 Republican teleradio corporation "Kazakhstan", department of a regional broadcasting, carrying out monitoring of transfers, noted the game "Echo", as a model of intellectual game for all offices of corporation
The scope of games is really various. This study of local lore, sport, art, anniversaries of famous people, cities, organizations. Yes you never know in what it is possible to interest youth.

On October 16 – "The native earth polyphony"
Within celebration of the 80 anniversary of the city of Karaganda on October 16 passed record of intellectual game "The native earth polyphony" between seniors of HS No. 23 (Saryarka team) and HS No. 25 (Parasat team). Children answered questions on history of Karaganda, Karkaralinsk, Zhezkazgan and Saran, on the books devoted to the cities, monuments on streets and celebrated personalities of the region. In the second round "The anniversary cities of the Karaganda region" there was a strong separation between teams. As a result, in prize-winners there were pupils of HS No. 23 (Saryarka team) with the account of 164:68 points. Between rounds the studying No. 23 HS Ayganym Eslyamova did a music turn.
On September 19 - "Three languages of the people of Kazakhstan".
On September 19 the next record of the game "Echo" dated for Day of languages of the people of Kazakhstan took place. Seniors of a gymnasium No. 3 (Spark team) and gymnasiums No. 97 (Phoenix team) took part in game under the name "Three languages of the People of Kazakhstan". Players answered questions on linguistics, stylistics, the standard of speech. In round "The born linguist" participants showed the knowledge of the Kazakh, Russian and English languages. The Phoenix team with the account won 375:265 points. At the end of the game the song "Zhibek Sezim" performed by the library worker M. Asanova was heard. All players received certificates of participants of the youth intellectual game "Echo" and the book for memory.
On May 28 – "We Read. We study. We play".
Seniors of CSK No. 33 (Quartet Erudite team) and HS No. 30 (Alpha spiral team) participated in the next game "Echo". Questions in school subjects of natural-science and humanitarian cycles were not beyond the school program, but in too time expanded borders of educational process since it was not so simple to answer them (also to solve a crossword puzzle), if not to be able to think and not to look in books. With the account of 235:225 points children from the Alpha spiral team won.
On May 16 – "The green planet" - Earth".
The Edelweiss teams (commercial college) and "Ambulance" (medical college) participated in game. Participants answered questions of animals and plants, of protection of world around, of famous scientists. One of blocks was devoted to history of the EXPO and the forthcoming exhibition of 2017 in Astana.With the account of 305:440 points the team "Ambulance" won.
On April 15 – "Monuments of culture and historical places of the world".
On April 15 pupils of the 10th classes participated in the game "Monuments of Culture and Historical Places of the World" – the Navi team (No. 10 HS) and "Inspiration" (No. 16 HS). Participants showed excellent knowledge, answering surely questions of known monuments of culture, historical places of the world, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Karaganda region. Game was equal, and only in the second round, the leader was defined. With the account of 335:275 points the victory was won by the Inspiration team (No. 16 HS). It handed the diploma, to rivals - the Navi team - the diploma. All participants received nominal certificates and books for memory of game.
On March 6 - "With a smile on life".
The Tourists team of college of economy, business and the right and team "Crew" from modern versatile college were rivals in game. Participants answered interesting and amusing questions of famous actors and heroes of favourite comedies and literature, writers-satirists, comedy shows, etc. The winner of game was the Tourists team which, having gained 285 points, gained the diploma. "Crew" was handed to team the diploma. All participants became owners of nominal certificates, and also tickets for performances at the Karaganda academic theater of the musical comedy.
On March 6 - holiday Nauryz.
Nauryz of a meyrama the next game was devoted to a spring holiday. Pupils of the senior classes HS No. 82 (Zhiger team) and HS No. 74 (Snowdrops team) participated in it. The questions connected with this unusual holiday of updating and spring were offered children. The second round with three subjects was especially interesting: "The Kazakh national games", "The Kazakh ethnic cuisine" and Kazakh national traditions". In this intellectual fight with a difference in 25 points (220:195) victory was won by the Zhiger team of school No. 82.
On February 24 - "The world of information".
The Erudite teams (No. 34 HS) and "Favourites" (No. 17 HS) participated in game. During action various questions connected with information, history COMPUTER and computers of data carriers, famous persons programmers, etc. were asked participants. In the third round "Decoder" of team received a task: to transfer the known proverbs paraphrased on a computer harmony to the standard form. The Erudite team (No. 34 HS) with account 240 became the winner of game: 190 points.
On February 14 – "Karaganda - anniversary".
Seniors of HS No. 15 (Contemporary team) and HS No. 25 (Parasat team) became rivals in game. Participants showed good knowledge of history of our city. The second round consisted of such subjects, as: "Cities of the Karaganda region", "Fellow countrymen" and "Monuments of Karaganda". The third round was devoted to Honorary citizens of the city of Karaganda. With the account of 205:155 points the victory was won by the Parasat team (No. 25 HS).
On January 23 - "Earth Riddles".
Seniors of a gymnasium No. 3 (Spark team) and gymnasiums No. 93 (Sunkar team) took part in game. Teams showed excellent knowledge of geography, history of Kazakhstan, biology and physics. Questions in categories were offered participants: "Kazakhstan on the world map", "Most, most …", "Riddles, secrets, miracles" and "The world round us". With the account of 300:275 points the victory was won by the Sunkar team (gymnasium No. 93).
On January 24 - "Opening the world fine".
Numerous winners of the previous games participated in it: Palette team (gymnasium No. 9) and "Zerde" (gymnasium No. 38). Children answered the questions devoted to different types of art of life and works of famous sculptors, artists of Kazakhstan, Karaganda, on the well-known pictures of the world. With the account of 260:210 points the Zerde team won.
